The Illusion of Time…
We all got to set our clocks back an hour this weekend. I spent my hour walking along the river this morning, climbing on rocks and stuff. I think that DST is outdated. Indiana has only been recognizing this for a few years now, yet it just really doesn’t make any sense to me. There are people that actually believe that they lose or gain an hour somewhere in there. We create many of these illusions to give us a sense of having more time or daylight or whatever. The reality of the matter is that it takes just a minute to switch our clocks, yet our bodies and minds take about a week or so to adjust. My dog and cat usually eat around 5-5:30. They didn’t give a crap about the time change. They were hungry at 4:30.
Most of our clocks conveniently change for us now- our computers and cell phones, but we have an “analog” clock in the bathroom that had to be changed along with the microwave. The one thing that I nearly forgot is the clock in my camera. I like to have accurate metadata attached to my photos. I had taken a series of pictures on my walk this morning before I had adjusted it. All fixed now though.
Under the Bridge
This photo was taken a while back. I wasn’t happy with the quality of the focus. It was kind of a test shot really, but I liked the look of it and thought it deserved some attention. Sometimes these are the photos that I give a more artsy feel to.
