As I drive around rural Indiana, there are so many remnants of old farm equipment, barns, and silos. I am afraid these are tombstones representing a day when the farm was owned by a family. So many of these relics dot the landscape replaced by manufactured pole barns and huge new silos. I can never resist getting some pictures of these memorials because I know there will come a day when these have broken down to nothing.
Who owned them? Who worked them and who built them?
