This day I headed out in the dark with the hopes of photographing a sunrise. As you can see, there was none… Never wanting to go home without a photo, I made the best of the grey, and got some shots of this new bridge that spans the Celery Bog in West Lafayette. I usually go out shooting with a plan. Those plans rarely come together 100%. The best thing is to simply be there whatever the conditions and record it the best you know how. I can’t accept coming home from a planned shoot with nothing.
So even though I wished to work on post processing a beautiful, colorful sunrise, I ended up doing a black and white conversion. In the end, I was happy with the result and it depicted the day more accurately.
