Water Over Rock

The beginning of the trail at Fall Creek Gorge near Attica, Indiana also known as the Potholes. I had wished I could have gone farther, but even though the trail starts here- it begins by crossing this creek, the bed of which was smooth slippery rock. It was 40 degrees and I wasn’t about to get wet.

Chalk it up to a great scouting venture and mark this place to get back to. I had a decent vantage point anyway for a few pictures before it got dark.

The rocks are beautiful- worn smooth by the water. The nickname “Potholes” comes from the eddying water creating these round indentations in the rocky stream bed.
