Knowing It Couldn’t Last Forever

I seem to be drawn to oceans and mountains more than anything. Ironically, I live nowhere near either one of them. But it may be best that way. Oceans, though, are on my horizon as I prepare to head to the Maine coast next week.  Heading out to these wonderful locations, I always have in the back of my mind the thought of coming home. It’s always nice to have a place to come home to, yet I get pretty antsy without having a plan for a new destination on the horizon. I don’t know what the future will bring, but I am having a blast exploring and so glad I have the time and energy to do it.

Photo Details:

Camera: Canon 5D Mark II

Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM

Settings: 1/640 sec @ f/2.8 200mm Focal Length and ISO 100

This was processed in Lightroom except for some clean up in Photoshop of dust spots and such. The sun was going down, but I wanted a nice bright image. This was set up +1 2/3 stops to overexpose a little. The highlights were easily tamed back in Lightroom.
