With Wings

A bit of a rebirth happened today thanks to a rainy Saturday. I have given my website an overhaul. A couple cool things that I like about the new design. Blog posts will sport bigger photos now. I am going with a real home page instead of my blog being the landing point. I think this is important due to  the fact that when people go to my site, I want them to see a little bit of what I am all about right away instead of having to search. A few pictures are featured in a NO FLASH slideshow and I plan on switching those out and refreshing them with new stuff regularly.

You can still access the blog easily. As a matter of fact I like the section of recent blog posts at the bottom. You can see at a glance what’s new. I am hoping this will be a bit of a kicking off point for some new content that i am planning on adding to the site as well. Reviews and tutorials to start out with and maybe some e-books and stuff down the line. We’ll see.

I have learned quite a bit in the last couple years about designing a site and thought it was time to put it to some use. I’m no expert, but I love the functionality and flexibility of WordPress tied in with my portfolio site at Zenfolio. It also incorporates responsive design, so photos, tables and text resize automatically for different sized devices. You can help by letting me know if anything looks off in whatever medium you might enjoy this site with.

In the meantime, enjoy the new look and my appropriately chosen photo of the day – The Butterfly, a great symbol of rebirth and new beginnings.
