Harvest Moon and Summer’s Last Sunset

“…the light of the moon leads the way
Towards the morning and the sun
The sun’s well on the way too soon…”

– Ryan Adams (Oh My God, Whatever, etc.)

I ventured out last evening to see what would become of the sunset.  This is our harvest moon rising full in the east as the sun sets in the west. It was a nice evening for it as there were just a few clouds to pick up some color, but not obscure things too much. I ended up at Prophetstown State Park as it is a nice wide open area to photograph from. Here are the two shots; sunset and moonrise. Enjoy the autumn days to come!
