I spent a foggy morning just crossing my fingers in hopes that something would arise behind the gray veil. Just before official sunrise, I began to see a little color in the sky. I could see shapes of clouds and could now tell that the fog was really low to the ground. This one was cropped to emphasize the beautiful colors in the sky with the silhouetted trees just giving a sense of place to the scene.
This is from a beautiful foggy morning at Prophetstown State Park. I located this spot on a trip here the weekend before, and just waited until I could get a good sunrise and reflection here. It just so happens I was luck enough the very next weekend.
